Getting Started ▸
How do I analyze an email?
Select any email in Outlook, then click Analyze Current Email. AI will summarize the thread and suggest an action.
How do I generate a reply?
After analyzing, click Reply. Outlook opens a reply window with an AI draft already inserted. The Mailara sidebar shows the draft and a refine input.
How do I refine the draft?
In the reply window, type an instruction in Refine with AI (e.g. "More formal", "Shorter") and press Enter or click Regenerate. Leave empty to get a completely fresh draft.

What do Reply / Track / Mark as Read do?
Reply: generates an AI draft and opens a reply all window.
Track: flags the email in Outlook for follow-up.
Mark as Read: marks the email as read.
Settings ▸
What can I customize?
Click ⚙ to open Settings. You can set UI language, AI summary language, reply language, reply length, tone, font size, and add a personal profile for more accurate AI replies.
What is My Profile?
A short description of yourself — role, preferences, communication style. Example: "IT consultant, prefer concise professional replies." AI uses this to personalize every reply.
Troubleshooting ▸
Email stuck on "Reading email…"
Click Analyze Current Email again. If it persists, close and reopen the Mailara sidebar.
Reply sidebar doesn't open automatically
Manually open Mailara from the toolbar in the reply window. Pin it (📌) so it opens automatically next time.
Session expired / prompted to sign in
Microsoft tokens expire after 1 hour. Mailara auto-refreshes them. If you see a sign-in prompt, click Sign In and log in with your Microsoft account.
